Edward Mobley was a freelance designer, Here are some photos of his creations from around the globe.

A shelf of rubber and vinyl

To date this is my collection.
It has come along way from a few Vinyl elephants.
I love the neon ones best of all, but
The pastel ones still tug at my heart.

I am only missing a few designs by Arrow Rubber and Plastics, as well as The Sun Rubber Co.
I have not even seen the entire line from Estrela but I imagine I am missing many of them. These little squeaks have not taken over our home as of now they are limited to this cabinet in our guest-room, and they have surely made a few over night guest joke about nightmares. I dont mind I love each one. Im still discovering lots of information on them and I still enjoy finding new ones I have never seen.

Pinky the Cuddle Bunny

Im not really sure what it is about this bunny that has had me swooning from the start, but I love it.
This is Pinky the Cuddle Bunny. Again with all the variants a girl could ask for. I really like the one with the fluffy tail and the different colors that it comes in. I really love the ones from brazil.
The little honeycomb on the box seems like a odd choice for a bunny,
but the pastels mixed with the bright colors has me hooked.

The Variants from the other countries are the best of any of the Arrow Squeaks.
Neons and bright sunset yellows and honey colored browns.
Each one of these is so special to me.
I began to give up hope of ever owning a yellow one.
I have only seen them on UK sites and one in South Africa.
Then sometimes someone wonderful comes along with one for sale.
I got it for a wonderful price and I am over the moon.

Then when I figured this week could not get any better, it did!!
A dear friend in brazil was kind enough to trade with me,
and now this pink Estrela bunny is a part of our home forever.

Oh sheep!

These are my sheep and Lambs.
I love the little curls on them.
I like how none of them really look like a sheep.
I also like that the designer (Edward Mobley) gave most of them sweet little bows

french variant "tammy Lamby"
posing pets lamb
These are the variants I have of "Tammy Lamby"
Again the size varies so much.
Some have wheels.
Some have silly color combinations.
All of them have pushed back ears that look as if they are ready to attack.

original "Tammy Lamby"
"Tammy Lamby" on wheels.
"Baa-Baa" the Wooly Sheep.
Arrow Rubber and Plastics
1965

This is "Lucy Lamb"
made by the Sun Rubber Company 1961

"Lambkin" made by the Sun Rubber Company 1955
Each one is special in their own way. I love the colors of vinyl used.
I like the little differences between sun rubber company and Arrow Rubber and Plastics.
I havent seen very many sheep in my life,
but Im pretty sure that most of them don't have the angry eyebrows that each of these do.

who is J. L. Prescott?

J.L. Prescott was another rubber toy company in the 60's
Edward Mobley had something to do with the company's design team
but that is all I have found out.
The Designs are a bit like Arrow's toys just a little different.
Still disproportioned, still Shuddersome, these 3 have won over my heart.

Edward Mobley Yellow Rubber Bunny Rabbit Squeak toy

This is a yellow rubber Bunny that is at the top of my list
of most loved squeaks even if I don't yet own one.
Isn't it just wonderful?

Something about the colors just has me swooning.
The yellows and oranges look like a sunset of silliness
and again I am left to wonder
had the designer for these toys ever seen a bunny?

These 3 are the only i have seen for sale and i was
unable to purchase any of them.
If you have one you are looking to sell please contact me
