J.L. Prescott was another rubber toy company in the 60's
Edward Mobley had something to do with the company's design team
but that is all I have found out.
The Designs are a bit like Arrow's toys just a little different.
Still disproportioned, still Shuddersome, these 3 have won over my heart.

So detailed! Love the green donkey especially.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can tell, J.L. Prescott bought the Arrow company in 1968. J.L. Prescott started in Maine making .. stove polish (!) .. and then moved to Paterson NJ in the late 1800s - they closed in 1989. I don’t know where Arrow was located - or if they ended up moving production to Patterson in 1968. We have an adorable but also maybe disturbing Elephant Baby squeeze toy that has winking/closing glass eyes.
